For those of us in the northern hemisphere, fall means there is plenty of inspiration all around as the leaves begin changing...

Cooler temperatures bring temptations for hot chocolate, which is even better topped with whip cream and chocolate shavings...

Alternately, if neither of those are your thing, or if indeed you're in the southern half of the planet and thus approaching spring, you might prefer to create a simple ombre background and embellish as you wish...
